The holidays are fast approaching, and before we get busy with all the festivities, it’s time to remind you that College for Kids proposals are due soon. Last summer’s College for Kids at Yavapai College was fantastic! A lot of effort goes into this program, and we hope you are as excited as we are to make the summer 2019 another positive experience for our children!
We expect to have the course listings posted online by March 20, in time for parents to begin making decisions right after Spring break. In order to have the classes put together and a schedule printed, please submit your proposal no later than January 16 (the sooner, the better)!
SU19 College for Kids classes will meet Monday through Thursday in two (2) sessions:
Session A: June 3 through 20
Session B: July 8 through 25
If you are interested in teaching for the College for Kids program, please submit a proposal for a new course or let me know if you want to repeat the course(s) that you offered last year.
To repeat the same course(s) as last year, please email email@example.com with your proposed schedule, including course title, dates, times, supply needs, classroom aide request, and any pertinent information or changes that would affect the tuition cost.
If you want to teach a new course, please submit an electronic proposal form:
College for Kids – NEW Course Proposal
Please review the Proposal Instructions (see attached) for pertinent information and deadlines.
If you know of others who are interested and qualified to teach for the College for Kids program, please pass this information along to them. We are looking for instructors in all areas: math and science, computers, digital photography, arts and crafts, music, dance and fitness, as well as other creative ideas.
Please remember your fingerprint card must be current for you to be eligible to teach in the College for Kids program. If you hope to teach and do not have a card, it can take 6 weeks or more to get one processed.
All fingerprint applications can be completed online from this website:
I look forward to hearing from you. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.
