News from The Spot

I just received an email from The Spot, a Children’s Museum, announcing that they are teaming up with the Arizona Science Center to bring more STEM learning opportunities at our local children’s museum. What a great way to spend a Friday morning! Or better yet, Friday afternoon when the toddlers are napping…because it beats the crowds on Saturday…

the spot…a Child’s Museum’s mission is to provide interactive play experiences to stimulate curiosity, creativity, critical thinking and problem solving for children of all ages.

We are thrilled to announce an exciting addition to our museum programs!

Children’s Museum Alliance, Inc is joining with Arizona Science Center to increase STEM education opportunities in our own big backyard…our northern Arizona communities. We will be rolling out new programs and increasing hours for STEM exploration at the museum!

Starting February 19th we are adding to our regular schedule! The museum will now also be open each Friday from 9 AM to 1 PM so visitors may enjoy the many STEM+Arts exhibits and activities in the museum.

On Friday mornings we welcome Casey Crowley, MEd, a Professional Learning and Development Facilitator from Arizona Science Center. Friday afternoons we are pleased to continue with Stacy DeVeau, MEd STEM Educator from the University of Arizona-Yavapai Extension. Our other volunteers, all of whom are retired educators/professionals, are available on Saturdays from 1-5 PM and Sundays from 1:30-4:30 PM to assist in discovering the wonders of Quantum Quizzics!

Don’t forget to watch for upcoming announcements about future special events. Children’s Museum Alliance, Inc also works with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University staff and students to create unique educational experiences.  We are pleased to work with all of these quality institutions to bring STEM literacy into northern Arizona!

Join us at the best kept secret in Yavapai County – the spota Child’s Museum. Imagine the fun you will have!
