The Prescott Western Heritage Foundation has offered an amazing scholarship opportunity for a select student who has a passion for preserving our western heritage. The scholarship is for $1000 for students ages 16-19 to use within 2 years as the student improves his/her artistic/musical/literary/crafting abilities. Applications are due Oct 22 and the scholarship will be awarded at their 2nd annual dinner on Nov 15. So if you are interested, get a move on it!!

In looking at the scholarship application, it looks like they will accept a variety of entrants, as long as your goal is to preserve western heritage. Art, painting, sculpture, music performance, writing music, photography, writing poetry, writing stories–fiction or non-fiction, videography, western heritage documentary, heritage crafts, leather tooling, trade skills.
